What freight forwarding software does

Freight forwarding software coordinates the work a forwarder does between shipper and carrier: quoting, booking, customs documentation, and keeping the client informed. A forwarder rarely owns trucks or ships. It sells expertise and coordination, and that work runs on documents, deadlines, and communication that repeat on every consignment.

Most forwarders run this on spreadsheets, email, and memory. It works until volume grows, a customs rule changes, or a customer asks for status you cannot produce on demand. That is the point where a right-sized tool pays back.
